Velveteen 'Shooting' pic with Behr, Wynter

Thesps cast in tale of a band and its lead singer

NEW YORK -- Jason Behr ("Roswell"), Sarah Wynter ("24"), Dominic Monaghan ("The Lord of the Rings" trilogy) and Joshua Leonard ("The Blair Witch Project") will star in writer-director Rebecca Cook's dark psychological drama "Shooting Livien" for indie banner Velveteen Films.
Pic explores the inner psyche of John Livien (Behr), the disillusioned lead singer in a band on the brink of success, who struggles with personality disorders and the blurred line between reality and fantasy. Lensing begins Saturday in New York City.

Wynter will play a talent scout who discovers the band and becomes involved with Livien, with Monaghan and Leonard as fellow band members. Cinematographer is Harlan Bosmajian ("Lovely & Amazing").

Aimee Schoof and Isen Robbins of Intrinsic Value will produce, with Seth D. Carmichael as co-producer. Cook's Velveteen Films partners Ben Cammarata, Nick Edney, Jamie Selway, Peter Sterling and Neil DeSena will serve as exec producers.

Cook previously directed indie feature "The Chester Story," with Teri Hatcher.

Schoof, Robbins and Carmichael recently teamed with producers Jim McKay and Rodney Evans on Evans' debut feature "Brother to Brother," an urban drama about the struggle of being black and gay in America, which is tipped to premiere in January at Sundance.
